Expecting a Fiddlestix show to captivate and intrigue, is what this talented and energetic four piece group has set as their standard for over the last ten years, and is more true today that ever before.

The music, original as it truly is, combines elements of Great Big Sea, Charlie Daniels, Spirit of The West, The Dixie Dreggs, Bella Fleck and many more. Enforced by high energy, exciting performances and fueled by spectacular electric violin melodies, the music is a crowd pleaser for all ages.

Boasting one of Canada's most exciting electric fiddler’s Steve Bowen, Fiddlestix also comprises: Guitarist/Vocalist, Nancy Cipollone, Bassist/Electric Guitarist/Vocalist Mike Altmann, Drummer/Percussionist/Vocalist, Giles Hunter and

Drummer, Vocalist, Scott Apted.

Returning to Canada in early 2007, following an extensive five year tour of South-East Asia, Fiddlestix has created a busy tour schedule for themselves. The band has since released a CD entitled ‘Compilation Hits’, which includes selected tracks from four previous Fiddlestix albums and their newest CD entitled

'rosin up your bow', consisting of popular celtic classics done the 'FIDDLESTIX' way.

Over the past six months they have been involved with City TV, Breakfast Television, Cogeco Television, multiple radio stations and local festivals throughout the GTA. They also appear weekly at various pubs and clubs around Ontario.

With an arsenal of styles from celtic, bluegrass, rock, classical, pop, blues and even jazz, the bands talent and reputable career, has enabled this group to travel to the farthest parts of the globe, and perform thousands of shows at a multitude of events including performances for International Embassies and Chamber of Commerce.

Fiddlestix cranks out the energy, showmanship and an excitement level only reached by a handful of groups worldwide, that will get the most docile crowd out of their seats and onto the dance floor.
